This listing is for an English hunting scene print named THE BURY HUNT. This professionally matted and framed print shows a meeting of the Bury Hunt sometime in the 1830's when Edmund Grundy was Master of the Hunt. Thirteen mounted riders, three smartly dressed attendants and the pack of hounds are waiting for the 'set off'. The scene is set near Bury because Grant's Tower (now collapsed) can be seen in the background. It's based on an original painting by Joseph Maiden (1813-1843) and issued as an engraving by Charles Agar (1813-1871).
The frame measures 34 1/2" x 29", and the print measures 26" x 22".
